Well last night we finally went to Orland Mall to get the kids pictures taken. It didnt go very well. Ben did a pretty good job but I really though he was the one we were going to have problems with. He did take a few good shots. Madison really did not like the lady that was taking the pictures. The lady was really loud trying to get he to smile but all she did was cry when she would make a loud noise. I think they all think that if they make loud high pitched noises that kids will smile. But let me tell you I let with a headache.
The pictures wont be in till August 27. The JC Penny studio now went to digital which means they took away all their props and background themes and I was really disappointed. I seen the proofs of the pics we took but I was not happy with them at all. It certainly wasnt like it was about four months ago. I will have to try to find a new place to take the kids. The lady that was taking the pictures even told me she would no longer bring her kids to Pennys for pictures and they are loosing quite a lot of customers. So maybe they will go back!
After the pictures Ben was requesting a cheese burger so we went to the mall food court and got him one and Ken and I had the Panda Express. It was pretty good. We both never had it before.
As we were leaving we parked downstairs so we took the elevator down in Pennys and Ben pushed the emergency call button in the elevator when we wernt looking. (He is really into the pushing buttons stage) The next thing we knew we heard a dial tone while the elevatior was still taking us to the lower level saying this is 911 what is you emergency! Well the store has a prerecorded message so they can hear you saying we were stuck in the elevator please send help!!!!!!!!!!!! So as the doors open I seen a man running toward us I figured it was for that reason I told him what happened but the was to much in a hurry to listen. So I also told the nearest cashier. She said oh dont worry about it its ok. What a relief! So Ken took ben to the bathroom, and while they were in there the whole fire department shows up with flashlights and their equiptment! I didnt see them till they were on their way out the door leaving, also the guy from Pennys was there that I told originally. I went up to them and told them I was sorry! The man from Pennys was laughing saying he didnt know what I was talking about when I was saying my son pushed the button in the elevator. But the fireman were very nice and told me that it was ok they didnt mind. It was so embarising though. Then Ben and Ken came out of the bathroom and missed it all. I wish Ben would have been there so we could show him what he did wrong. We did tell him no when he pushed the button but it would have been different if he would have seen all the comotion he caused! What a trip to the mall that was. Next time Ill carry the stroller up the stairs!!!!!!!
