One thing that you can always find me doing when I have a little extra time is reading a good book. I am always going to the library and finding a book that I will enjoy. It is just something that I really love to do. I actually got Ken reading books now too. He reads them on his lunch hour in the car at work. One thing that I don't like about the library is if there is a great book out there that I really want to read it sometimes can take you months to get your hands on a copy because there are so many hold on the book. Well I have to say we have been thanking God for blessing us since the layoffs for salary are now over. Ken managed to keep his job and they even had a meeting at work yesterday with a couple of the higher up CEO's and they assured him the salary lay offs were officially over. He will still have a job, however his and everyone in the whole plants over time is now history. It was giving us an extra $400 dollars a month but as I told Ken it is better than him loosing his whole salary. He was a little worried that we would miss the money but we talked and he decided it was for the best. That way less people would be laid off and he was still one of the ones to be blessed to have a job in this terrible economy. Coming this Monday there will be 45 more layoffs for the union workers and we will continue to keep them in our prayers. Hopefully the ones that go are financially ready and it would not really matter to them much. The company did save some money by cutting the security officer jobs which saved them 250,000 a year. Ken was friends with those guys and will be sad to see them go. The good thing about that is that they do not work for his company so instead of just getting laid off maybe they will just be reassigned to a different location. I can not thank God enough for granting his grace on us.
